Five-day guest introduction tour

Introduction for guests, students and future newcomers

Well-informed Aurovilians, Ambre and Renate guide you through five days of information and fun. If requested beforehand, the Intro weeks can be organised for specific groups. 

One of its participants writes:

• During an entire week, from 9 am to 4 pm, you get introduced to the full range of the City's multiple phases and layers of awareness.

• You look at new experiments in living together and learn what is expected of people living here.

• You hear old-time Aurovilians, whom you might not have accidentally met here or there, talking about their projects and sharing their experiences.

• You taste good lunches in different guesthouses and the Solar Kitchen.

• You experience the hot sun on your eco-friendly cycle ride through the Green Belt.

• You visit workshops and units which you otherwise would have passed only undiscovered on your lonesome trips through town.

• You find out something about 'human unity'.., and also get some glimpses of possible shadow issues, and mistakes from the past, or present failures or challenges.

• You ask your questions, maybe you get some answers. The week is very much about feeling good together in a friendly 'safe space', about releasing barriers of language and creating a group energy conducive to true discovery, and about growing into a new awareness and taking responsibility for oneself.

• Songs and all sorts of games loosen up the flood of information.

During the months of  November, December, January, February and March, Guest Introduction programmes take place every second week, and are always different although a certain structure is steadfastly adhered to: there is some philosophy, insights in the township's set-up for planning, commercial units & services, housing & communities, greenwork, organisation, 'divine anarchy'.., and more.

A small contribution of Rs 1,200 is requested. This includes lunch, bicycles etc.
