The Auroville Visitors Centre (VC) is a complex
of buildings specially designed to answer to the needs of casual day
visitors and more interested guests alike.
The Centre is located in Auroville's International Zone, and is open for
visitors from 9 am to 5.30 pm.
Facilities:

Information service, from where
information is provided regarding Auroville in general, Matrimandir,
guesthouse facilities, various programmes for guests. A great
variety of brochures and leaflets in different languages on the
various aspects of Auroville is provided here, and Auroville Entry
passes are distributed from here
as well.
The Info Service is open from 9am - 1pm & 2 - 5.30pm every
weekday, and from 10 - 12am & 2 - 5.30pm on Sundays.

Video shows on Auroville at 10.30 &
11.30am and at 2.30, 3 & 3.30pm.

Boutique d'Auroville, AV's handicrafts
sales centre open 9 - 1pm and 2 -o 5.30pm everyday except Sunday.

Seagull Bookshop, open 10 - 1pm and 2 -
5.30pm (closed on Sundays)

Info Café, open for food and
refreshments from 8.30am - 9.30pm every day (Sunday evening closing
time: 6pm)

Temporary exhibition, presently on 'The
Genius of India' (same timings as the bookshop)

Shaded picnic area cum kiosk, selling
small handicrafts items and refreshments, open everyday 9am to
5.30pm including Sundays.

Access to Auroville and Matrimandir is free
of charge.
