'Aurobindonian' meetings in Asia, Europe and USA

During the summer season of 2000, several hundreds of people associated with Auroville or Ashram have gathered in respectively India, Europe and USA to honour and celebrate their connectedness in the advanced vision and path of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. While knowing that other such meetings have taken place as well, we offer here some glimpses of the AIM, AUM and AVI meetings (see footnote) where - apart from more silently shared moments - the participants enjoyed to:

be among like-minded people..    (aum)

to be cared for.. (aum)

to communicate..    (aim)

to dance..    (avi)

to shine..    (aim)

to listen to each other..    (aim)

to ponder further work developments..     (avi)

to share moments of recognition and joy..     (aum)

and generally just to be together..     (avi)

AIM 2000: ALL INDIA MEET in Nainital, Uttar Pradesh, India, June 19th - 28th. It was a first meeting of its kind. The photos here presented are of the preceding Savitri Course, given by Dr. Ananda Reddy.

AUM 2000: ALL USA MEETING this year in West Cornwall, Connecticut, USA, July 5th - 9th. Its theme was 'The Bridge' referring to Sri Aurobindo's vision bridging into the future, as well as to communion of all spiritual paths and the need for communication on that what is most essential, bridging the differences.

AVI 2000: AUROVILLE INTERNATIONAL MEETING this year in the  'Lebensgarten Community' in Steyerberg near Hanover, Germany, June 28th - July 2nd. Main theme of this annual conference was 'International Understanding' and participants were active members of the various AVI centres and liaisons.
