The Roving Exhibitions took place in Paris, Treviso, Venice during this summer season and were well attended and successful. The European Cities represented in the display of best practices and other achievements were Antwerp, Barcelona, Bilbao, Birmingham, Bruges, Eindhoven, Frieburg, Glasgow, Helsinki, Lille, Lisbon, Malaga, Manchester, Marseille, Munich, Rotterdam, Strasbourg, Vienna and Venice. The Indian Cities represented were Ahmedabad, Chennai, Calcutta, Delhi, Guntur, Gurgaon, Mirzapur, Mumbai, Jaipur and Tirupur. Pooling resourcesThe expositions have been of help in bringing together a city-to-city as well as intra-city networking with the aim of pooling resources between all cities involved. The body of knowledge thus formed will be highly instrumental for city managements to timely and effectively act in order to improve the quality of life of the citizens concerned, as well as ensuring environmental justice to disadvantaged sections of society, particularly to women and children.
