The Students & 
Volunteers Program

There is within the activities of Harvest ample opportunities of voluntary service or meaningful experiences for students within their academia.
Since 1997, the regular contribution of students and volunteers brings to Harvest a focused and efficient intervention in specific fields of investigation. To date, Harvest has welcomed the participation of over 30 students and young professionals mainly from France, India, The Netherlands, Germany, and USA.

Volunteers' works

  • Auroville water survey: Aurovilians’ relation to water, 1 month.

  • Auroville water survey: baseline data collection in all communities, 3 months

  • Micro-watershed development planning on the Kottakarai/Irumbai areas, 3 months.

  • Graphic design of presentation materials, 3 weeks.

  • Auroville water survey: database design, 2 months.

  • Inventory of retailers of bio-fertilisers in the Vanur and Tindivanam taluks, 1 month.
