The conversation of 31.12.69 quoted above triggered an experience in which the Mother saw clearly and very distinctly the inside of the Matrimandir, which She relates to Satprem on 3.1.70:
- Satprem: "Sweet Mother, I have told Paolo to come, he is waiting outside."

"Yes. There is an interesting thing.
For a long time I had been feeling something, then we spoke about it the other day and I SAW it
I spoke of it to Roger, I told him to see Paolo, and I also told him that I had SEEN what had to be done.
Of course he did not say 'no', he said 'yes' to everything, but I felt that he did not really intend But this is what happened.
I saw clearly - very, very distinctly - that is to say, it was like that and it is still like that, it is there
(gesture Indicating an eternal plane):
the interior of this place."
The Mother first suggests that, to begin with, one could create a small version of the Mandir and later, when the city will be built and this model will have been fully experimented with, a really big one could then be built. She adds:
"It is like the gardens: all the gardens which are being made are for now, but, in twenty years, all that will have to be on another scale; then it will have to be something really really beautiful"
Regarding the function She wished to assign to Paolo, She says:
"From the practical point of view I will try to make Roger understand. But I have seen, it seemed to me that what is needed
Roger, when he is here, looks after Auromodel, the practical side of all that - it is very necessary, it is very good -, and for the building of the Centre, I would like Paolo to do it, and so I would like Paolo to stay when Roger is away; Paolo should be here when Roger is gone, and we shall do it with Paolo.
Only I don't want either of them to feel that it is one of them against the other.
They must understand that it is to complement one another. I think Paolo will understand."
