Aurovilians on the site began to wonder whether the concept of a gilded sphere surrounded with twelve huge structures was at all necessary, when the beauty of the naked Matrimandir in its natural setting - an Auroville growing greener every day - was so striking and fulfilling already.
Others felt that the concept presented by Roger was powerful and needed as a structuring force.
